Creating Your Self Confidence

Are self-confident people as insecure on the inside as you? There are many people in your world that appear confident on the outside, but are relying on their Pretend to make it through the day. Now, the Pretend self is one of three selves that make up our personality.

First of all there is the Pretend self. This identity will fake it until you make it to manage life obstacles. Then, there is the Negative self. This identity focuses on all your negative habits and projects a detrimental image of the self. Lastly, there is the Authentic self. The Authentic self is the tender person you truly are at the core.

Because folks fear not fitting in, many people hide behind the Pretend self. It hurts to be judged by others. If you fit in, you won't be judged. It takes a lot of energy to live the Pretend self and over time, you forget how to be an Authentic person.

Now, the Negative self is fueled by insecurities. Certain actions bring the Negative self to the forefront. Like, when someone calls you a name, you become upset. Your Negative self actually believes that you symbolized that bad remark. In Change Your Life in Seven Days, Paul McKenna states, "Any negative traits you identify are not really yours - they belong to your negative self-image and were programmed into you when you were a child. By identifying them honestly, you can let them go."

Conversely, the Authentic self is whole and content identity deep inside you. This self is the one filled with joy when loved one are nearby; the one that harbors dreams and aspirations. This powerful self is unstoppable if it allowed to govern a person's actions. Permitting the Authentic self to take over is easy. But, you must identify the negative and false dialogues that Negative and Pretend selves are running. You have the opportunity to change your life. Start working on instant confidence using self help books such as Change Your Life in Seven Days. Once you've figured out how to get back on track to become happy on the inside, then you can move on to fix how other people treat you.

Change Your Life In Seven Days - NLP Explained

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. It characterizes the management of thoughts and feeling provoked through language, both spoken and body language. Self help practitioners such as Paul McKenna, author of Change Your Life in Seven Days, use NLP because of it's powerful influence on negative habits.

Using an unsuspecting friend, try this experiment. Making sure you can see them, text them this message.

I saw a Scratch on Your car. Who Knows who did it.

Now make sure you capitalize the words scratch, your and knows. They have to stand out just a little bit. What you've done is embedded the command, scratch your nose, to your friend. Knows and nose are phonetically ambiguous, so don't worry about that. Did your friend scratch their nose?

Studying the thoughts and behaviors in response to communication is the core of NLP. Using observation, NLP practitioners determine which communications elicit a desired outcome and which ones don't. From there, they tailor new communication options for a patient. Programs to stop smoking and those to help people lose weight employ NLP to identify the external triggers that keep people in bad habits.

Many times when you communicate, you are managing to send multiple messages through your body language, eye movement, tone of voice, pace of speech and even your speed of breath. What if, consciously, you could choreograph these paths of communication efficiently? Right now, you probably use a shotgun approach with very few filters and learned negative body communication.

Take, for instance, a desperate sales person trying to close the deal. Because this sales person was communicating his fear, the client won't probably buy. What about the frustrated husband? He's trying to talk calmly to his wife, but she sees his clenched jaw and tensed shoulders. She knows they are headed for a fight.

Nobody gets what they want with miscommunication. Many of us have developed stereotypes that are destructive such as taking things personally when someone declines our offer, or at best, unproductive like assuming your request will be declined before you've had the chance to ask.

Fully communicating your intent is what NLP helps out with. Since everyone has their own set of experiences, NLP is not just a cookie cutter solution. It must be tested and revised for each person. But, with the help of NLP, you can start to see the communication patterns that happen between yourself and others. From there, you will be able to study their reactions to your new communication styles. This is valuable feedback on the path toward improvement. Can you imagine what it would be like to skillfully communicate with your clients, parents, partner or the kids?

Change Your Life In Seven Days - Hypnosis Simply Explained

Some professionals claim they can change your life in seven days. I'm not going to tell you what to believe about hypnotism because you are going to make up your own mind. But an individual could get a lot of help using hypnotism, self or with a professional, after all. You may already feel a sense of optimism from starting something new. You could enjoy hypnotism because there's no reason not to. It's up to you.

Try this. Visualize a lemon that you grabbed from the fruit bowl. You've placed it on the cutting board. You're going to cut it into quarters for some salmon that's on the grill. You notice that after you have cut the lemon into quarters, there's a lot of lemon juice on the board and the wedges themselves. Close your eyes. Visualized grabbing one wedge and biting into it. Take a few moments. Absorb the visualization. What has happened? Your tongue is tingling because I suggested that you bite down on a pretend lemon. You mind cannot distinguish between what is real and what is imagined.

Beginning with the basics of hypnosis, it is an altered state of consciousness. The hypnotized usually feel a peaceful relaxation and suggestibility is increased. Now, stage hypnotists, such as Paul McKenna, Justin James and Michael Bane, use this suggestibility to provide entertainment. These performers turn audience members into dancing buffoons, clucking chickens and the newly popular, strippers.

Clinical hypnosis tends to get more things done. Many people are familiar with hypnosis being used to help people stop smoking for good. Other people use hypnosis for weight loss. Less known uses for hypnosis is for light anesthesia for surgery and also as pain reduction techniques. It is truly where the brain is taking care of the body.

The mechanics of hypnosis appears to be a form of disassociation. In psychology and psychiatry it refers to the state of being separated. This separation is a perceived detachment of the mind from the emotional self or even a separation from the body. It is characterized by a sense of the world as dreamlike, and possibly accompanied by a poor recollection of the events that took place during the disassociation.

Now, the condition of disassociation, where memory gets split off from other parts of the brain is also plays a crucial role in amnesia and in extreme cases, multiple personalities. With hypnosis, the disassociation is mild and under control of the hypnotist.

Hypnotic induction temporarily separates the brains executive command center (frontal lobes) from other parts of the brain such as the emotional-control (limbic system) and sensory perception (parietal lobes). With the relaxing of the hypnotized brain, it allows the hypnotist to present commands more directly without the patient criticizing or examining the commands for reasonability and practicality. With patients censoring, judging and criticizing offline, suggestions are adopted "behind the scenes".

You Were Born Rich - Finding Your Dreams

You were born rich and you can turn your life into anything you want. Unfortunately, you are the one person getting in the way of that. You have accumulate a massive amount of negative influences and attitudes along the way ultimately keeping you from what you want. During these travels through life you've collected many tools to deal with the hardships such as denial, television, alcohol and other forms of depressants. Similarly, you've also used caffeine and quick fixes to create the highs in your life.

You shop for pleasure only to feel guilty later since you shouldn't really afford it. You want to be that person in the advertisement, though. Not a care in the world. Unfortunately, the advertisements aren't real. They don't care about you; just about separating you from your money.

Why did life turn out this way? Well, you have been listening to everyone but yourself. You've listened to family, to teachers and, of course, to your boss. These folks have a huge vested interest in your performance, not well being, your performance. They don't get pats on the back for making sure you're happy. I know it's hard to hear.

You can be insulated from negativity and high expectations. You need to remove yourself from the negativity. You have to understand your dreams. Most importantly, you have to pace yourself. Do you think that getting to this dream life will be quick? Absolutely not. You have to re-condition yourself, un-train yourself and battle all the naysayers that want you to be miserable with them.

Your dreams are the signpost to your life. They are telling you were you need to be headed and what your true potential is.

Say you always just love the smell of a used bookstore or ravage any book that crosses your path. Maybe you were meant to work with books; at a library, bookstore, as writer, an agent or editor. Or maybe black and white photographs usually stops you dead in your tracks and you examine that photograph before continuing on with your day. Is photography supposed to be part of your world; as a studio photographer, an assistant or graphic designer? The signs are there. They are living in your dreams.

You have to want to start, though. Sitting at home, waiting for someone to tell you what to do only gets you sitting and waiting. It is up to you to get the support and information you need. I've identified some of the problems and some ways at looking at how to start fixing them. You have to take the steps to change.

You Were Born Rich - To Learn About Receiving

Did you realize you were born rich? Looking back, do you usually find yourself always hurrying toward your next goal? Working hard, do you find yourself exhausted from all the energy you use to get to your goals? In the end, you wind up getting little in return compared to the extraordinary efforts you put forth.

Bust your butt at school and got a mediocre job with little future. Save and save and save as much money as you possibly can to for a down payment and end up in a small house in a boring location. You spend hours in front of the mirror grooming, hours on the treadmill running and a lot of cash at the beauty salon to end up with a guy, who is great on the inside, but has gotten to the point where is grooming/workout routine consists of a 3 minute shower and shaving every 4 days.

Is this the life that was promised you? The culture we live in has you under a lot of pressure. If you work hard, the only person that is going to get ahead is the guy that owns the company you work at. This ideal of hard work paying off for the ordinary guy is promoted in Pursuit of Happyness. Will Smith's character sacrifices the safety of his family in pursuit of the big payoff. The pace of the movie is frantic and the audience is left with a stomach ulcer, despite the tragic hero getting the dream job in the end.

Slowing down and listening is what I have learned. By listening to the vibrations of the universe, I can slow down and not overspend myself. I have even managed to slow down my family around me. Since we know we have time to do our projects well, we wake up for the day happy, rested and eager. Most of our projects are completely self serving. Imagine doing what you want to do, when you want to do it. My time is spent more effectively. My family is hardly sick and well fed. The commitments we have are minimal.

This all revolves around the law of receiving. Bob Proctor, a huge self help author, likens this frantic way of life to a boy running up to a police officer and saying, "Where is the post office? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?" The boy never gives the man a chance to answer. When you race from one project to another or even from one job to another, you're not allowing people to help you. Especially, you not allowing them to help get where you need to go. Bob Proctor's 11 Forgotten Laws is a place to start learning the skill to slow down.

You Are What You Believe – You Were Born Rich

<!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->

You have all the resources to become a millionaire, if that is what you chose to be. Even if your life is surrounded by unemployment, foreclosure and food stamps money magnetism is at your fingertips if you learn the tools to become it. We were all born rich.

So, what is the definition of wealthy. Is it the minimalist's views with being able to put everything you own in a shoebox and hop from neighbor to neighbor on good faith? Being wealthy is having abundance in all aspects in your life and not settling for the “minimum”.

Now, wealth is a state of mind to an extent. Wealth, however, is exactly the FREEDOM FROM STRESS. A wealthy state of mind is easier to believe in when you have “things”. But most people don't realize that the state of mind comes before the actual wealth.

The Wealthy Person Lurking Within

Think of your future self with wealth. What makes this person different than you now. Remember that all sorts of people break the social and wealth ranks, so don't limit yourself to limiting your visualization through socio-economic means.

Now break down how this future person became who he is. Think of it this way, both of you were born with the same “opportunities”. However potentials are cultivated, or not cultivated, differently. This accounts for the success or lack of success we come to.

But, you were born with the same potential of money magnetism as the other guy. What we fail to figure out is that we still have that potential even after all these years of failure.

Laws of Thinking

You have to understand your thought process before implementing any kind of laws of attraction. A hidden negative narrative is counter productive to any positive narrative.

What we believe about ourselves is usually shaped through experience. Our beliefs will become reinforced through self talk. If we keep reminding ourselves of struggle and the things we don't have, then that will perpetuate itself. The story embeds itself into our belief system and it manifests itself in your interactions with the world.

Remove that negative self talk and focus of absence of wealth. Replace it with a visual of who you really are, deep down. There is no reason to believe that you are a lesser person than those who have money.

The Secret dealt on the Law of Attraction, but failed to give a usable process in which to thoroughly incorporate into a person's life. Bob Proctor's You Were Born Rich and his newer program The 11 Forgotten Laws walks you through the pitfalls and gives you checkpoints to gauge your progress.

This was all kicked of with Napoleon Hill's famous Think and Grow Rich back in 1937 and has been refined through the years through different motivational experts. The Eleven Forgotten Laws by Bob Proctor is the newest manifestation which was devised to help those through our recent tough economic climate.

Thanks for reading! Enjoy your day.
